Meet Sheila and Laura
Our story is inspired by the bond between a grandmother and her granddaughter. Sheila, the beloved grandmother of our Director and Founder, Laura Wood, is the heart of our inspiration.
Sheila, like so many others, understood the importance of grab rails but was hesitant to install them in her home. She didn't want her living space to look clinical or to feel like she was advertising her vulnerability. She longed for support that wouldn't compromise the beauty and warmth of her home.
Laura watched her grandmother navigate these challenges daily. She saw both the struggles and the joy that small improvements could bring. This personal experience ignited a passion in Laura to create something better for Sheila and for everyone in similar situations.
“Invisible Creations was born from the real-life experiences of people like my Gran, Sheila. Seeing her face daily challenges while striving to maintain her dignity and joy profoundly impacted me. I wanted her to have better options as she aged and her needs changed. The proudest moment of my life was giving her our products. They brought her immense joy and made her proud of her home once again. They gave her the confidence and stability to move around without fear of falling."
