Inaugural Housing and Social Care Accessibility Summit

This week, Invisible Creations and PROCare attended the Inaugural Housing and Social Care Accessibility Summit in Dundee. The focus was on accessible housing as a key element of prevention and early intervention – saving pressures on social care and health.

The event brought together leaders from government, finance and construction with health and social care experts and disability rights champions to share insight and discuss new solutions to a chronic shortage of accessible housing in Scotland.

Invisible Creations & PROCare shared examples of how their thoughtful, creative accessible designs can be good for everyone, leading to better outcomes for residents, society and businesses. Our Director of Invisible Creations shared insights into the work we do to design homes fit for the future in the panel session on construction and design. The session focused on how enlightened and inclusive design can benefit everyone in society.

The event was expertly organised and chaired by the fabulous Horizon Housing and Scottish Housing News, and brought together leaders from government, finance, housing and construction with health and social care experts and disability rights champions to share insight and discuss new solutions to a chronic shortage of accessible housing in Scotland.

This engaging, inspiring event created a forum for frank debate on the multiple challenges facing the housing, health and social care sectors in Scotland and explored potential solutions. We were delighted to be able to contribute to the conversation and offer tangible solutions with our innovative approach to accessible products and inclusive design.
